The Surf Select program is a national identification pathway for players aged U9-U17 who have the talent, drive and ambition to compete against the “Best of the Best” across Surf Nation.
WHAT IS SURF SELECT REGIONAL?
The mission remains our core, creating experiences and opportunities for players within the Surf Nation community. The Regional program allows collaboration and control of the local calendar with the aim to provide an additional step in the evaluation process.
Through Regional program it will increase talent identification to ensure the “best of the best” attend the Surf National team camp to compete for a roster spot to represent Surf Select National Teams (Blue & White) who will compete in some of the top domestic and international events across world football.

Through the Surf Select Regional program the National pathway will see the best players selected based on their performance, current stage of development and character within a team environment.
The Surf Select Process
STEP 1: Club Recommendations- Players recommended from club are selected to participate in regional tryouts
STEP 2: Regional Tryouts- Player attends Surf Select Regional tryouts at one of 7 locations across the country
STEP 3: National Tryouts- Selected players will be invited to participate in National Tryout events based on their age group
STEP 4: Roster Selection- Selected players will be rostered on Surf Select National teams to compete in some of the world’s best domestic and international competitions
