The Surf Select program is a national identification pathway for players aged U9-U17 who have the talent, drive and ambition to compete against the “Best of the Best” across Surf Nation.
WHAT IS SURF SELECT REGIONAL?
The mission remains our core, creating experiences and opportunities for players within the Surf Nation community. The Regional program allows collaboration and control of the local calendar with the aim to provide an additional step in the evaluation process.
Through Regional program it will increase talent identification to ensure the “best of the best” attend the Surf National team camp to compete for a roster spot to represent Surf Select National Teams (Blue & White) who will compete in some of the top domestic and international events across world football.

THIS MIDWEST SURF SELECT EVENT IS ONLY OPEN TO MIDWEST SURF AFFILIATE MEMBERS AND PARTNERS. This event will be on July 20th and 21st at SCHEELS OVERLAND PARK SOCCER COMPLEX. starting at 5PM-9PM on Saturday, July 20th and finishing on Sunday, July 21st from 8am-Noon. ALL TRAININGS WILL TAKE PLACE ON FIELDS 1, 2, 3, 4.

Through the Surf Select Regional program the National pathway will see the best players selected based on their performance, current stage of development and character within a team environment.
The Surf Select Process
STEP 1: DOC Recommends
Player recommendation from Club DOC by September of each season.
STEP 2: Regional Programs
Player attends Surf Select Regional ID Programs – September-December. We have 7 regional ID events across the country.
STEP 3: National Selection Events
Player gets identified and selected from Regional ID events to attend Surf Select National Selection Events in February.
STEP 4: Roster Selection
Players get rostered to play on the Surf Select teams that will compete domestically or internationally in the summer.
Surf Select National
Through the Surf Select Regional Program, the National pathway will see the best players selected based on their performance, current stage of development, and character within a Team environment.
REGIONAL TEAMS will compete in a National Showcases:
U15-U17
Each Region will build out their teams to compete in a National showcase event somewhere in the USA. The regional team Coaches will scout and pick players to recommend to the Surf Select National Blue and White Team rosters.
